Watch Out Students and Teachers!
As part of National Children's Dental Health Month, an annual poster contest is held each February. School children create posters about the importance of dental health and the posters are judged locally by members of the Dutchess County Dental Society.
The winning posters are sent to be judged with the winners from other localities and those winners are then judged at the state level. The talent and creativity our children show every year, under the supervision and inspiration of our school Art teachers is amazing!
The 2009 Poster Contest was terrific. Dutchess County children did wonderfully well. Click on the link below to see some prior year poster winners.
The rules for the 2010 contest and and other helpful information were mailed to Dutchess County school administrators for distribution to Dutchess County principals, nurses and specific teachers in December, 2009. The deadline for poster submission is February 26, 2010. Art teachers please contact Dr. Stan Kacherski when posters are completed. Call 845-896-9309. Please make sure the name, age, school and grade are on each poster.
